The Hornet Pride Foundation provided seed money to establish the fund.  After its formation the Hornet Pride Foundation dissolved. A local committee was formed to review grant requests from teachers and administrators.

“The Hornet Pride Foundation began as a way to help the Brown County school system,” said Steve Kremer, former president. “With the Brown County Public Schools Education Fund, and its administration through the Community Foundation, the community is in a great position to accept large donations and to continue and market the fund.”

Donations of all sizes have grown the fund and its impact is increasing. Teachers in Brown County are able to provide a more challenging and rigorous curriculum to meet the academic needs of all students.
