Nonprofit organizations from the tri-state area interested in seeking grant funds from the Community Foundation of the Quincy Area in 2010 are encouraged to attend one of three Grant Information Workshops offered in February. Programs are scheduled in Quincy, Ill.; Hannibal, Mo. and Mt. Sterling, Ill.

Nearly $19,000 Awarded to Support Youth Activities

Twelve organizations receive grants

Today charitable causes get a boost from the Community Foundation of the Quincy Area. Twelve nonprofit organizations share the spotlight as grants are awarded from the Katherine Broemmel Endowment for the Arts Fund and the Paul H. & Anne B. Gardner Memorial Fund.

Grant Funds Awarded

The Community Foundation of the Quincy Area awarded 10 grants from unrestricted endowments totaling $10,500 to nonprofit organizations that represent a wide range of local, charitable interests. The checks from unrestricted endowment funds were awarded during an awards presentation today at Douglass Community Services, Hannibal, Missouri.

Scholarships Awarded
CF Release - August 24, 2009

The Community Foundation of the Quincy Area has awarded four student scholarships and one teacher recognition award. The awards are funded from permanently endowed funds held with the Community Foundation and a portion of the earnings provides the annual scholarships at an accredited post-secondary institution for a graduate of each respective high school. One fund also provides a teacher award. A portion of the earnings is reinvested in the funds for continued growth to provide future scholarships and awards.
