![]() The Center for Effective Nonprofits assists, promotes, represents and strengthens community organizations as they improve the quality of life for those they serve. It was founded through the collaborative efforts of Quincy University, Tracy Family Foundation, Community Foundation of the Quincy Area, John Wood Community College, United Way of Adams County, and University of Illinois Extension. These agencies submitted and received a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Our mission is to help community organizations do what they do . . . better. Services include:

John Wood Community College is the location of a resource available to area non-profits. This includes online resources as well. Online resources include Foundation Directory Online Professional and Foundation Grants to Individuals. Online resources can only be accessed from the College’s main campus in Quincy. Library staff are prepared to help any one unfamiliar with the Internet and online resources.
Pat Woodworth, JWCC Director of Library Services, is the Cooperating Collection supervisor. The library is open from 7:30 AM – 9:00 PM Monday – Thursday and 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM on Friday. There are no Saturday hours from May 15 to August 15.
As a participant, John Wood Community College provides public access to this collection on the Quincy campus.
