George & Sharen Borrowman Agriculture Scholarship Fund
Benefits a former student or graduate of John Wood Community College
“Farming was his life,” said George Borrowman's wife, Sharen.
Sharen established a scholarship at the Community Foundation in George's memory after he died in 2009.
“I want to help with someone’s education and to honor George
and his life," explained Sharen. "I feel those who get this scholarship may think, ‘I didn’t know
him, but he helped me with my
education.’”
The George & Sharen Borrowman Agriculture Scholarship Fund provides one or more scholarships for a former student or graduate of John Wood Community College who will be entering his or her junior or senior year at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in an agricultural-related field. The scholarship may be used for tuition, room and board, fees and/or books, and related expenses.
